Alas, the time nears for The Rink Exchange to close for the summer!
The last day to skate is April 30th.

We anticipate the rink to reopen August 15th!
Classes begin again in September so be sure to check
our website this summer for updates on class information!

Spring Skating Exhibition ~ April 29th

EXHIBITION INFORMATION: For all Spring Term Group Lesson students
SHOW DATE: April 29, 2017
SHOW TIME: 2:00pm – 3:30pm
ARRIVE AT RINK: 1:30pm Meet your coach in the lobby

Students ~ Invite your friends and family to enjoy the hsow and let’s celebrate a
wonderful year of skating!
This is an informal recital. No lights, no curtains. All skaters in all classes will be participating from our youngest, SnowPlow through our Teen and Adult class, as
well as the FreeSkate class. Skaters in classes from LTS 3-4 level and higher can
also choose to perform a solo, duet, or other small group piece.

We are offering basic skill, non-qualifying, adult, national solo dance

Summer Camp in Minnesota!

Shattuck St. Mary’s Ice Dance Camp from June 11-17th in Fairbault, MN.
This will be an incredible week of training opportunities for dancers at all levels, whether they are just beginning to learn ice dance technique or competing at a senior level, but available spots in the dorms are filling up fast and dancers will need to
register by March 21st!

2017 USFS Judge Training

Oregon Skating Council
is hosting a USFS Judge’s School April 28-29, 2017. It will include both classroom and rinkside learning sessions. CE credit will be available.

The Seattle Skating Club
is excited to invite USFSA officials and coaches, and those who are interested in becoming USFSA officials and coaches, to the What’s New in IJS seminar presented by Beth Crane at Olympic View Ice Arena on
Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 1pm- 5pm.
USFSA officials will receive 18.75 CEUs.
Coaches will receive 4 PSA educational credits.

Summer skating and Fall Classes

Summer skating
It’s hard to believe that at the end of April the rink will close
for the summer months. It generally reopens by mid-August.
Stay posted for info on where to skate this summer and
for details about when The Rink Exchange will re-open!

Fall Classes
If you are unable to join us for our Learn to Skate USA
current group lesson classes, then watch for more
information this summer when we post our class
schedule for next season. Classes generally start
in September!

Congratulations Cassidy Evans and Sara Schultz

Cassidy and Sara of the Eugene Figure Skating Club competed in Vancouver, Washington this past weekend at the 29th Ice Crystal Classic, a USFS and Learn to Skate competition.This dynamic duo took home three Gold and one Silver medal for the following categories:

  • Pre Free Skate - Gold, Sara
  • Showcase Duet - Gold, Sara and Cassidy
  • Pre Free Skate Compulsory - Gold, Cassidy
  • Showcase Pre Free Skate - Silver, Cassidy
Skaters compete in front of a panel of judges that evaluate their technical and artistic performance. Cassidy and Sara, who share a love for figure skating and have a passion to perform, are coached by Elaine Pruett. We are proud to recognize their hard work and determination. Congratulations Cassidy and Sara!!
